I am reeeeeally excited about this week's new moon. It's full on Wednesday at 3:31 a.m. PST. Jargon first: this new moon takes place in Cancer, conjunct Jupiter. The moon rules Cancer and Jupiter is exalted in Cancer, so it could not be more auspicious. It's also in a really cool formation (a bathtub!) with Mars and Pluto and Saturn-Neptune. Domicile Taurus Venus is in there, too, as a treat.
This is thee new moon to go through your shit. This is thee new moon to excavate your emotional doompile. Get in loser, we're making room for necessary change in the direction of our deepest desires for beauty and safety and self-expression. This new moon carries real “if you build it they will come” energy. In fact, maybe it's time to watch Field of Dreams again—1989 magical realism baseball, completely over the top, Kevin Costner, James Earl Jones. Let's gooo.
But before you can get fans in the stands, you’re gonna have to look right at the shit that doesn't fit anymore. Shit you bought (or conditioning you learned) to hide yourself or mask yourself because you were afraid of what would happen if you revealed who was really in there—not just to others, but to yourself. And to let go of a proverbial mask, you have to acknowledge a) that you've been wearing one, and b) that behind the mask, you're kind of a freak, or you really truly do actually like beige, or you're a tender-hearted soft-bellied mammal who was super not built for late stage capitalism and does not operate at the speed of social media (thank you Prentis Hemphill for that language). And that’s a lot to look at.
But you know what'll happen if you look at that shit? If you let yourself feel the feelings that you've been judging yourself for having, rather than actually feeling them?
You'll grow.
You'll catch up with yourself. Your projection of reality that you have in your head will begin to line up with the conditions of your life. And that you can work with.
The world is literally insane right now. It feels crazy to talk about the beauty and beneficence of this new moon in the present context, but that's actually like, meta this-new-moon energy.
Pull the weeds. We have some fucking hope seeds to plant.
And then on Thursday, Mercury moves into Leo and spends the weekend trining Saturn-Neptune and opposing Pluto.
This is Ray Liotta walking out of the cornfield like LET'S GO. Look at me, I'm talking to you, cut the crap, get your glove.
It's time to play ball.
Fantastic. Brilliant!
