Week Vibes: June 9, 2025 Edition
The astrological heat wave continues, but we're about to get a pool pass.
On Monday, Jupiter moves into Cancer, the sign of its exaltation. You know that Rumi poem about welcoming your feelings like an inkeeper welcomes guests, knowing they'll stay for a while and then move on? Jupiter in Cancer wants to give that inkeeper $750,000 to update all the bathrooms, renovate the kitchen, and put Tempur-Pedic mattresses in every room. Jupiter in Cancer asks, why shouldn't you be fully resourced to feel your feelings?
Which is great, because the first thing Jupiter does when it enters Cancer is gear up to square Saturn and Neptune in Aries. Neptune dissolves the mirage that's kept you going as you drag yourself across the desert while Saturn says, "Fantastic! We can build something real here!"โand Jupiter squaring these two from Cancer is an exhortation to grieve the loss of the dream and celebrate the groundbreaking ceremony for the new one all at once. If that sounds like a lot to hold, well, don't worry; Jupiter's amplification of this particular complexity will be resonant for at least a couple weeks (and the Saturn-Neptune vibe hangs together through next spring).
Also on Monday, Venus squares Pluto, urging you to remember that boundaries are the difference between losing and finding yourself in relationship. Mars trines Chiron just after midnight on Tuesday, illustrating that a little inflammation can actually point the way to healing. (And also, it can just hurt.)
I know. That's kind of a lot already and I haven't even gotten to the full moon. ๐
All of that sets the stage. Full moons carry culmination energy, but they don't happen in a vacuum. The focus is on the big bright orb in the sky, but it's always part of a bigger picture. No two Sagittarius full moons are alike.
This one implores us not to turn away from the wound. This one asks, how can you shine even when you're hurting, even when you're imperfect, even when you're not an island and in fact need a lot of help and care. This one asks how can you stay curious even when you're vulnerable, when you're witnessing pain and suffering. As the Saturn-Neptune conjunction composts your old dream, what new one will motivate you to keep going, even if you never fully realize itโwho will it inspire you to be?1
Y'know. No big deal.
Fortunately, Mercury sextiles Venus right after and gives us a lil giggle with a beloved, a piece of good news, or maybe a sweeter tone to your internal monologue.
On Friday, the sun squares the lunar nodes. Mercury did this last Thursday and got us all curious about secret third thing energy. Now, it's oozing out our pores. Which is great, because on Sunday, Mars in Leo squares Uranus in Taurusโif you've been struggling for days to decide whether you should dye your hair blue or pink, go purple. Do something fun with your personal or home aesthetics, anyway.
Sometimes thatโs all you need when youโre feeling itchy for changeโฆ and sometimes itโs not. Either way, life's too short, etc.
And it's too short not to wonder! That's what my astrology practice is all about.
This Sagittarius moon is one vertex of a grand fire trine with Aries Chiron and Leo Mars. Our Gemini sun is just past the midpoint of the Chiron-Mars trine, widely forming the apex of a kite. Which is interesting, because the moon is typically the big energetic focal point of a full moon chartโand like, it is, don't get me wrongโbut it's the tail of the kite here, while the apex (the sun, in this case) represents the quality being honed and developed for expression by the energetic architecture of the kite formation. That's why my delineation for this Sagittarius full moon has a lot of Gemini sauce on it. (Also because I put Gemini sauce on everything.)
LOVE this! Thank you!
